Of those hospitalised in Auckland (excluding people still being assessed, and one person in Waikato in hospital), 50 cases (61 per cent) were unvaccinated or not eligible.

Eight (10 per cent) were partially vaccinated, receiving their first dose within 14 days of becoming a case, and 11 (13 per cent) received their first dose more than 14 days before contracting Covid-19.

Three people (4 per cent) received their second dose of the vaccine within 14 days of becoming a case and eight (10 per cent) were fully vaccinated, having had their second dose more than 14 days before getting the virus.

The vaccination status of a further three people (4 per cent) is unknown.
