Since July 3, COVID-19 accounts for 0.4% of deaths reported ages 0-14. It accounts for 2.2% ages 15-24.
In January, those numbers were 1.3% and 4.6%

Using the aforementioned dataset, I did a 4-week rolling total of share of deaths for 0-14 and 15-24. Certainly 15-24 has gone up some last few weeks (just like every other age group). But it's not 'unprecedented.'
